What About The Future
Do you ever wonder about tomorrow? One of the things we humans dislike the most is the unknown. What does my future hold? Will I succeed in this endeavor? Or sometimes we just become anxious about how we will pay the bills. No matter what concerns we have, many of them revolve around the unknown future.
As we look at the Bible we are told over and over not to be concerned about what is going to happen in life...
...seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things will come to you.
...why worry about these things, who can add an hour to their life, the hair on your head is numbered.
...trust in the Lord with all of your heart and do not trust your own understanding.
...come to me and I will give you rest.
...Let the peace of Christ rule your heart.
...cast your cares on the Lord.
These are paraphrased verses from the Bible that tell us God will take care of us. They remind us that worrying about things in the future, will just waste a lot of our precious time. We are better off to concentrate on the things of God and let Him direct us down the path that He has provided for our life.
I know that many time this is easier said than done. Even now as we embark on a new path in our life and ministry, we wonder how everything will fall into place. Yet each day we wake up to some new solution that has occurred without much effort on our part. In fact, sometimes it is no effort for us at all, it just happens. That is when you get to see God move in His amazing way. Moves that take place outside of mans control and beyond the destructive means of the enemy.
Whatever your concerns are today, be reminded that God is with you. He cares for you and He will make your paths straight. No matter what you are facing, or how bad it may appear. Put your trust in God and have faith that He will do exactly what He said He would.
Have a great week in the peace and provision of God.
